Spring is in full bloom, and the preparations for Easter have already started. We always try to enjoy this holiday with our family, even more, when we have children. We keep the traditions and customs, we play games with kids, and we never forget to prepare a lot of food. Your dog is, for sure, a part of your family so why not include him in the celebration too?

Easter egg hunt doesn’t have to be only for your kids. Dogs love to sniff around so help them develop their senses a little bit more. Start practicing your dog’s smell and enjoy the Easter Dog Egg Hunt with your pup. Here you can see how to make the Easter eggs your dog will be eager to find.
- You need a few fillable plastic eggs. You can buy eggs that are already adjusted for dog egg hunt or any other. Only be careful about the size and material so that your dog doesn’t swallow them.
- Take your dog’s favorite treats and put them inside the eggs (You can see our favorite recipe below). It’s better when you do it in front of your dog, so he knows that there is food inside.
- Hide the eggs in your garden or any other safe place. For the first time leave the eggs in noticeable places and after your dog accomplishes his first dog egg hunt try to hide them more. Just don’t hide them in places where it can be dangerous.
- Go for a hunt! Encourage your dog in searching for the eggs and try to hide the eggs in less visible places each try. If you are playing this game in a public place, you have better not to let your pup out of leash. After playing, your dog will learn to find the treats in plastic eggs, therefore make sure he will not encounter the eggs for kids filled with sweets. Eating them could cause serious problems.
CARROT DOG’S TREATS

1/2 cup of vegetable oil
These treats are really easy to make, and your dog will love them. Preheat the oven to 350°F (170°C). In a bowl, mix flour, shredded carrot, eggs and oil together. Put the dough on a floured surface, roll it out and cut out different shapes of the treats. Bake the treats for about 30 minutes, until the surface starts to get golden brown.
