Storky – Contraction Timer for All Future Moms and Dads

As a future parent, it’s natural that you want everything to be prepared before the baby is born. Your hospital bag is packed, the nursery is ready and you’ve read all the books about maternity and parenthood. But when the big day comes, it’s necessary to keep calm as much as possible and not to let the stress take over you. Our Baby Monitor 3G team created a new app for measuring the contractions to help you decide when it’s the right time to go to the hospital and to make the stressful situation little easier.

Why measuring the contractions is important

To know the length of the contractions and the intervals between them is essential for both you and the doctor. This way, you will be able to distinguish Braxton Hicks contractions from the real pre-labour ones and you’ll be able to tell the right time to go to the hospital. Your doctor will need to know how often the contractions are and what’s the interval between them.

How Storky works?

Storky is an easy-to-use app for all moms and dads to be. After installation, the app will guide you through all necessary information you need to know when the first contraction arrives.

To measure the contraction, tap on Start Contraction. When the contraction ends, tap on Stop Contraction. Then the interval length will start counting until you start another contraction again. This way you will know how far apart they were from each other.

Below the ongoing interval length, you will see an overview and progress of all the past contractions and intervals. By the colorful indicators, it’s easy to tell if the contractions are getting longer and the intervals shorter.

When the little stork turns pink, it suggests it’s time to go to the hospital as the baby birth is getting closer. It is based on the set default values of contractions coming every 5 minutes, with each contraction lasting about one minute. These values can be set differently in the settings.

If the contractions were, in the end, false signs, they will be saved in history and you can access them anytime. The contractions progress is also easy to export and send to your midwife, birth assistant or doctor through email.

Storky can be used by both moms and dads as it’s very intuitive and it will help you take a little stress off your shoulders.
