Baby Monitor & Alarm Update: SMS commands are no longer available

Dear parents,

We are sorry to be the bearers of the bad news. Unfortunately, since the recent change in Privacy Policy by Google, our app is no longer able to provide you the SMS commands feature.

SMS commands allowed the parent to send SMS to the Baby Station in a format STATE or CALL. Our app then either sent SMS to the parent informing him if the baby’s sleeping or called the entered phone number.

Google’s change in its Privacy Policy now denies the SMS permission to all apps unless absolutely necessary. Their decision affects millions of other apps across Google Play. We believe the option to send the SMS in our app to check on your baby is a core functionality and therefore we applied for an exception. We were, unfortunately, rejected.

To comply with Google’s Privacy Policy, we had to remove this functionality from our app in the newest update.

Please be aware that the app remains fully functioning and you will be informed by an incomming phone call when your baby is awake.

We apologize for this inconvenience. Unfortunately, this is Google’s decision that we cannot affect in any way. You can read more on this topic on Google’s website.
